Documenting the everyday, one city at a time
Mediapixly began as a personal habit of carrying a camera through Canadian neighbourhoods and grew into an ongoing documentary project. We are interested in the parts of city life that rarely make the news: the queue, the commute, the corner store, the bus stop in the rain.
Our mission
We believe that the ordinary moments of urban life are worth preserving. A documentary photograph of a crowded transit platform or a quiet laundromat can say as much about a place and its time as any monument. Our work is entirely independent, non-commercial, and driven by curiosity about how people move through their cities day to day.

Every subject is treated with dignity. We document context, not spectacle, and never exploit hardship for effect.
